This is quite sickening. One offshoot of a monkey (an unendangered species), using a destructive mechanical tool, to kill other creatures. It would be a better hunt if he goes bare-handed and try to slay the lion (an endangered species) he just killed with his rifle. Better yet, why not invent his own rifle? A Lebanese minister (good for nothing in a sectarian sick society) and a lecturer of finance (an outdated and corrupt field that failed miserably) takes his anger and rage on innocent creatures. Anger management and organizational behaviour may help. Killing will lead to more killings and I pray that one of these lions or other carnivores may find you one day and eat you as a little snack between breakfast and lunch.

Even though it is heartbreaking to know this. It is not surprising, knowing that he is part of team of political group (not only the party, the entire regime) that was part of the Lebanese Civil War. These people have killed people using guns for 15 years, and keep on killing people daily through governance malpractice.
I wasn't shocked to see this, I guess all the heads of this state have a similar disgusting activity, we just are too lazy to look for them.

Will Assad fight a war on two fronts - between Israel and the rebels? He may try to use this morning's strike to galvanise support behind his crumbling regime. But if he does that, I think he'll fail. The Israeli attacks would not have taken place without the approval of the Whitehouse. Assad's Generals will understand this. They will know that - in principle - their country is now at war with America. They will also undestand the implications of that fact: with Assad being attacked from the air, with his regime's air force effectively grounded, with the Turks rearming the rebels with American weapons, the game is all but up. Assad is finished, and the Generals will move against him to save their own necks.

What should we expect now?

If he's receiving good advice, expect Assad to flee, provided a credible offer of sanctuary has been made to him. If Assad is receiving bad advice, expect him to stay. If he tries to stay, he will recall the demise of the Gadaffi and Hussein regimes. That may prompt him to try to 'gas' his way to a ceasefire. Let's be clear about this - the dreadful fact of the matter is that Assad's gas is the only leverage he has left, something his Generals will be well aware of. Therefore we should expect them to isolate that ordinance.

I would be very surprised if there weren't already a few senior army personnel talking to American negotiators behind the scenes, trying to win reprieves for themselves by offering up Assad. We are watching the endgame unfold. Assad is finished. It is now only a matter of time and circumstance. Let's hope, for the sake of the people of Syria, that the end is quick and relatively peaceful. What I think you should not expect is a complete collapse of the regime. That would result in a fratricidal bloodbath, with supporters of the rebels taking revenge on defenseless supporters of Assad. That outcome must be avoided at all costs. I don't believe the Whitehouse would have given Israel the go-ahead if it wasn't already sure of the internal support of some of Assad's Generals. To give the go-ahead without that support is to set in motion a tragic chain of events. Would the Whitehouse leave itself open to the charge of instigating - by indirect means - a massacre? I doubt it. But only time will tell.
