Hello good people of the internet,

After nearly a decade, I’ve finally decided to retire Hummus For Thought. What started as a relatively small blogging platform for a 20 something year old guy somewhere in Mount Lebanon to rant about the Kafala system ended up becoming so much more (also, #AbolishKafala). For that, I will always be grateful.

If you’ve enjoyed the newsletter so far, no worries, you will still get it. In order to do that, please go on The Fire These Times (thefirethisti.me) and add your email in the box thingy at the bottom of the page. You’ll get the usual monthly newsletter in addition to weekly new podcast episodes.

Basically, the Hummus For Thought newsletter is simply migrating to another website!

Despite what I wrote in the previous blog post, there won’t be any changes to the format. Even if you’re not subscribed to Patreon (although you totally should), you’ll still get the monthly recommendations of articles, books, podcasts and music in addition to occasional reflections and other surprises.

I’m not one for long goodbyes. This blog will always have a special place in my big hobbit heart and it’ll always be fun to know that some people still refer to me as ‘the hummus for thought guy’ from the good old days of when most of us believed that Facebook was a force for good in the world.
